Jeff is a Washington College alum, graduating in 1977 with a BA in Political Science. He enjoyed a 28-year career in Information Technology at two Fortune 500 companies — the first half at USF&G Insurance in Baltimore, and the second half at Black & Decker in Towson. For most of his years at Black & Decker, Jeff was Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO) for the worldwide power tools division. After retiring from the corporate world in 2007, he spent three years studying and practicing Tibetan Buddhism at centers in Baltimore, Vermont, and Nova Scotia. As part of that experience, Jeff served on the governing board of the Baltimore Shambhala Buddhist Center, where he chaired the Finance Committee. Jeff is a published poet and is currently a member of the Chestertown Historic District Commission and the Advisory Board for Washington College’s Rose O’Neill Literary House. He is also a member of the WC-ALL Curriculum Committee and has taught two WC-ALL classes. Jeff and his wife Susan moved to Chestertown in April 2017.
